Audiobook Anger

I tried again to dowload an audio book. I am amazed at the length of time it takes – even from our “super fast connections!” I feel the need to comment once more that the selection of children's titles is poor!

I've downloaded my "book" but I do not feel that NetLibrary's site is very user friendly. I finally have a title playing but I have to say that I think with their ease of use and titles available, Playways are the way to go!

  1. OOh, a title of 'Audiobook Anger!' Your frustration with NetLibrary was definitely echoed by some of the other 23Things participants and I think it's a really valuable experience so that when patrons want our help in using these tools, we know the complications that can arise.

  2. We talked about downloadable anger last week @ EREC, Elizabeth, just so you know the committee's now aware of all the problems the 23Thing'ers are having - and we're still trying to get that handout updated (patiently waiting on one person to get back to us with correct info).

Question about the children's titles, because Recordedbooks does have a children's/YA package - is that something we should look into?

  3. Leigh Anne - thanks for giving our "issues" some air time. I didn't realize Recordedbooks has an children's/YA package. I think it might help to have more titles but in my library, Mt. Lebanon, most of the kids are more into playaways than downloadables. We'll have to wait and see if any patrons speak up.
